Gwendolyn Nathaniel of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on May 22, 2023. Gwendolyn was born November 11, 1959 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She went to South Jr High and graduated from Doherty High School. She also attended college in Sacramento, California. Gwendolyn worked for many years in the electronic manufacturing field. She worked at IBM which allowed her to move to New York and she worked Intel. She was married to Vincent Watson in 1985. She loved to cook, art, fashion, to shop, and travel. She was known as “Cousin Tu” nationwide but in Colorado Springs everyone knew her as “TuTu”. She also loved to spend time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Gwendolyn LOVED and helped anyone who was in need. She cared about everyone, it didn’t matter if you were family or a person on the street. She was very determined and strong-willed. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Rodgers and Forrest (Joe) Potts; two brothers, Gino Potts and Darryl Potts; and nephew, Karl Bruno. She is survived by her four children, Montrell Watson, Nicole Watson (Dugg), Shaquille Golden (Billie), and Treshon Nathaniel (Taiya) all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers Ray Nathaniel and Karl Nathaniel of Colorado Springs, Colorado; fifteen grandchildren, Jyaer Pepper, Kairiq Watson, Kalasia Watson, Amari Watson, Najae Watson, Heaven Wilburn, Taj Blakely, Nyana Blakely, Javariea Golden, Jai’ceyon Golden, Taionna Nathaniel, Taylynn Nathaniel, Tre’shon Nathaniel Jr; and two great-grandchildren Ka’sylah Watson, Kruz Lockett all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; good friend Tibor Kasa of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
