Julia, who most people knew as Julie or Jewels, was an amazing light in everyone's life. She was always smiling, always happy to see people, and most of all always praying. She loved God and believed whole-heartedly in her special bond with Him. She poured over her blessing on a regular basis, praying for and with anyone who wanted or needed it. It would be hard to tell you in just a few short phrases what she meant to us all. What we want to share is that Jewels gave unconditional love, with every ounce of her being by enveloping you in a strong embrace. She wanted you to know you were welcome and loved. She lit up a room with just a smile and was always happy to see you. For 60 years she celebrated making it to Friday with her sister/best friend Eleanor, with a message or call, even after she retired from the City and County of Denver. It's the weekend Bro! Jewels learned to save and work for everything she wanted growing up and carried that forward in her life. Never afraid to earn what she wanted. Never afraid to share what she had earned. She would give you the shirt off her back, and then load you up with junk food and pop before you left the house. She loved dancing, music, butterflies, shiny bling and animal print. She is preceded in death by her daughter Glenda, siblings Joseph and Isabell, and parents Frank O and Matilde (Tillie) Gonzales. Julia is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Chasity (Jon Paul), son AJ (Marisa), grandchildren Marty, Marissa, Jovan, Kevin, Alex, JC, and Jade. Her great-grandchildren are, Marleana, Aaliyah, Dezmond, and Vinny. Julia and Robert were married for 51 years and raised four children together. Glenda who entered eternity in 2018, Chasity, AJ, and Bobby. If you needed a place to stay, her home was open to you, asking for nothing in return. Julia was raised by her parents Frank and Tillie Gonzales with six children in the home, her sisters Eleanor, Pricella, and Isabell. Her brothers Joseph and Richard. She also has countless cousins, nieces, and nephews. Julia deeply adored her family with her entire being, and her gifts of sharing God's love and blessings with everyone she knew are her fingerprints instilled in our hearts forever
