Howard Lee Proctor, Jr., 74, of Venice, Florida passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his home. Howard was born September 13, 1946 in Bradenton, Florida the son of the late Howard L. and Katherine Proctor. Howard is survived by his children Howard B. Proctor and wife Machell and Cheryl Mayes and husband Allen all of Bradenton, Florida; seven grandchildren Chonta and Devin Pierce both of Georgia, Jasmin Proctor of Tampa, Florida, Denziel, Isaiah, Samuel, Ariel Proctor all of Bradenton and Crystal Wilson of Louisiana. Howard served with the United States Marine Corp as a gunman during the Vietnam War. A celebration of Howard’s life will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, 11:00 am at the Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel located at 265 South Nokomis Avenue, Venice, Florida 34285. Burial with military honors will be Tuesday, July 27, 2021, 10:00 am at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road, 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
