Joseph Anthony Rich, 78, passed on July 5, 2021 in Venice, FL. He was born on August 16, 1942 to Louis Anthony and Ann Rich in Chester, PA. Joseph attended Chichester High School and attended the Philadelphia Institute of Barbering. He married Deborah in 1981. He worked at Scott Paper/Kimberly-Clark as a papermaker for 37 years until retirement in 2003. Joe & Debbie moved to Venice, Florida in 2002. He then proceeded to get his Registered Pharmacy Technician license and worked for Barclay Pharmacy in Venice until finally retiring in 2016. Joe loved to travel, especially on cruises to Italy, Spain, France, Russia, Finland, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Sweden and Caribbean. He was also a lover of antique cars, especially muscle cars and loved to read. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, godfather, uncle, brother and friend to many. He is predeceased by his sister Rosemarie Rich and his parents Ann and Louis Rich. Survived by his wife of 40 years Deborah Kay Rich, son Mark David Rich, brother Louis A. (Lisa) Rich Jr., brother Frank A. (Charlotte) Rich, daughter Michelle Huver and son Joseph A. Rich, Jr. and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Farley Funeral Homes, 265 S. Nokomis Ave. Venice, Florida 34285. A reception will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Tidewell Hospice.
