Jack graduated from Wayne State University with a B.A. in Economics. Jack served his country for eleven years as a Captain in the Air National Guard. After retirement, he and Karen split their time between North Venice, FL, Scaly Mountain, NC and Sky Valley, GA. He played tennis and golf for many years before discovering pickleball which became his favorite. Jack was a voracious reader, especially of war history, a determined crossword puzzle solver, and an avid follower of politics and current events. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles in the mountains of North Georgia and North Carolina, often owing more than one at a time. Jack also owned a large collection of antique rifles and guns. They were artfully displayed on antlers throughout our mountain home. Jack and Karen traveled extensively and took at least one major trip annually. Trips in recent years included Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Ecuador, Russia, Greece, Turkey and most European countries. Visiting America’s national parks was also a favorite.
