Scott Alan Taylor, 69, of North Port, Florida, formerly from Mount Vernon, Ohio, peacefully passed away on June 21, 2021. He was born on March 24, 1952 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to his parents, Roy and Frances Taylor. He was a 1970 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He made a lifelong career as a machinist for Cooper's in Mount Vernon, Ohio and PGT in North Port and Venice, Florida. He was a very family-oriented man with a huge loving heart. He was an avid fan for the Cleveland Brown's and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth Taylor and Howard Taylor. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Susan Taylor of North Port; sons, Jeffrey Taylor of North Port and Wesley (Dana) Taylor of North Port; grandsons, Aiden Taylor of Ohio, Jackson Taylor and Callan Taylor of North Port; brother, John Taylor of Cleveland; nephew, Dean Taylor of North Port. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Scott's name to Tidewell Hospice. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home, North Port, Florida.
