Edward James Duffy Sr, of North Port, Florida, passed away on May 3, 2021. He was born on June 1st, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to his parents, James Duffy and Esther (McKeown) Duffy. Edward was the Co-Owner of Jimmy Duffy and Sons, Inc., Catering & Restaurant, Daylesford, Pennsylvania. He also served our country as a US Marine. He entered active service on February 15, 1952 and was a Sergeant 1st Class, date of rank November 1953. He was honorably discharged on February 14th, 1954. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Liley Duffy; son, James Duffy; parents James Duffy and Esther (McKeown) Duffy; brothers William J. and Paul J.; sister Esther F. Ambrogi Hurley. Edward is survived by his sons Edward Jr., Christopher; Brian, Mark, Thomas, and his daughters Susan Cholewka (Jerry, deceased), Barbara Duffy, Nancy Schwertner and her husband Dutch, and 14 grandchildren Billy, Meghan, Nick, Michelle, Christy, Jim, Jennifer, Stephen, Kevin, Shannon, Ellen, Kate, Kim, Sean. Mass of Christian Burial will take place May 29th at 10:30 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 1325 E. Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380.
