Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Wendy Paula Felix
September 8th, 1966 - April 14th, 2021
Wendy Paula Felix was born on September 8th, 1966 to Mr. Augustine âSunny' Felix (deceased) and Mrs. Una Felix. She was the 5th of six children along with stepsister Alecia. Wendy grew up with her grandmother Lillian Simon(deceased) in the rural community village of Fishing Pond, Sangre Grande, Trinidad and Tobago. She acquired her primary School education at North Oropouche Government Primary School (1972-1978), her Secondary education at Five Rivers Junior Secondary School & North Eastern College in Sangre Grande between (1978- 1983). It was not long after this that she left these shores and migrated to the United States to join her mother and siblings. Wendy, while in Trinidad was always seen as a very beautiful, and attractive young woman, a killer smile, class, poise, and confidence. Many people took note of her, so much so that she was the Best Village queen representative for Fishing Pond and was sponsored to enter the Miss Sangre Grande Beauty pageant where she was the 3rd runner up. In spite of that Wendy always carried herself as a queen, a winner, with every step she took, every conversation she engaged in. Wendy continued to model when she immigrated to the United States. She served in the US Army for eight years. She was brave a patriot, a servant of her Nation, fearless, gentle, yet a fighter. Wendy received her Bachelors degree at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fine Arts and was currently working on her Masters degree in Theology. Wendy was a daughter to Augustine Felix and Una Thomas; a doting mother to Arieana, Rayne and TraVaughn; a loving sister to Oswald, Flavia, Ingrid, Sharmin, Natasha and Alecia; sister-in-law to Charmaine and Rafael; caring aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a good friend to so many more. Not to mention a counselor, guide, and an inspiration. Now she rests from her battles. She fought hard and bravely. She fought a good fight. If God is Sovereign, if God is love, if God knows best, and we believe that God is fair, just and righteous. Then know this, as much as we love Wendy, no one could have loved her more than God. He had a plan for her life, He assigned her at her station and gave her duties. Wendy left us at the right time, when she touched the lives that needed her touch; when she gave birth to the children who would have needed her to be their mother; she taught the lessons which she alone could teach in her own way, even if you disagreed. She ran well, her leg in this race of life. And now it's over, God has given His beloved the rest she so deserved. It's time to honor this queen. No more pain, no more disease, no more worries. God has released her. We are comforted by this. Peaceful rest, safe in the arms of Jesus, Sleep suggests that an awakening is coming soon. Until then, Sleep in Peace (S.I.P) Wendy Paula Felix.
