Jack E. Hayes
September 15th, 1941 - April 8th, 2021
Jack Eugene Hayes, 79, of North Port, Florida, peacefully passed away at his home on April 8, 2021. Jack was born on September 15, 1941 in Lafayette, Indiana, to his parents, Robert and Mary Hayes. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana in 1959, and during that time is when he and the ""love of his life"" decided on forever. He and Judy Conkright married in June of 1960 and from there their lives began. In 1969 their son John was born and following in 1970 their daughter Jana was born. Then in 1977, the entire family moved to Florida. Jack worked as a Property Manager for a Medical Equipment company and retired in 2013. After his retirement he had a passion for baking and cooking. His classic specialty was chicken and noodles, and he loved baking not just one dozen, but numerous dozens of cookies, fudge, cheese balls, and peanut brittle. His heart was so large that he made sure that he had the proper baking supplies for those that had gluten allergies. He found so much joy being with his grandsons that he would make sure to be the one to drive them to and from school each day. It was something he looked forward to daily. One cherished memory that Jack had with his granddaughter, Brittany, was when they were in a ""mullet smoke off"" and Jack ended up with 3rd place, whereas Brittany won 1st place. He will be mostly missed by his kind heart, kind words and love he shared with his family. The family is at peace knowing that Jack is no longer suffering and that he is reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, Judy. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Hayes; daughter, Julie Hayes; sister, Peggy Swisher; brother, Bob Hayes. Jack is survived by his loving daughter, Jana Borchardt; son, John Hayes; grandchildren, Brittany Balcom, Fisher Hayes, Aiden Borchardt, Hunter Borchardt, Marshall Borchardt, Hunter Hayes. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday April 17th, 2021 at Farley Funeral Home, 5900 South Biscayne Drive, North Port, Florida 34287.
