Alice M. Hicks, 80, of Nokomis, Florida passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Alice was born May 25, 1940 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of the late Larry and Josephine (Trovarelli) Burcheri. Alice is survived by her husband Edward of 59 ½ years; son Edward Hicks, II; daughter Karin Collins; granddaughters Athena and Calliope Hicks and sister Sharon Burcheri. Alice was a member of Harvest Chapel in Venice. She enjoyed basket weaving, sewing, orchids and loved to cook for family and friends. A visitation for Alice will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, 265 South Nokomis Avenue, Venice, Florida 34285. Graveside services for Alice will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 11:30 am at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
