John "Jack" Conaghan
July 9th, 1935 - March 18th, 2021
John (Jack) Conaghan, age 85 of Sarasota, FL born July 9, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on March 18, 2021. He was much loved and respected by his wife Jane, children John (Michele), James (Bridget), Jane (Charles Rodriguez), and Maryann (Douglas Livingston). He loved all his grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Matthew, Kiera, Christian, Andrew, and Luke, and family get togethers on Siesta Beach each July were a special time for him. He is predeceased by his parents, Grace and John Conaghan, and his twin brother, Jim. He is survived by his sisters, Mary, Bridie, Patsy, and brothers, Danny and Charlie and many nieces and nephews. Jack served his country in the U.S. Army and then went on to join the New York City Police Department. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 265 Nokomis Avenue S. in Venice on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 10:00AM-11:00AM with the memorial service to honor Jack will immediately follow. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens, 1950 Center Road in Venice.
