Harry A. Ellard, III
July 14th, 1932 - January 25th, 2021
Harry A. Ellard III died peacefully at the age of 88 on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Harbor Chase in Palm Harbor, FL. Born in Astoria, NY and raised in Bayside, NY, he was a graduate of Bayside High School in Queens, NY. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served as a Staff Sergeant stationed in Japan during the Korean War. Harry went on to a 35-year career with Bell Laboratories starting at West Street, NY and then relocating to New Jersey to work in the Holmdel and Middletown buildings. Harry is remembered by family and friends as a loving father, a Brother and Master Mason of the Anchor-Astoria Lodge #729 Grand Lodge of the Free & Accepted Masons, a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is survived by his daughter Nancy and granddaughter Olivia Ellard of Palm Harbor FL, daughter Kim, son-in-law George (Gerry), and granddaughter Meredith Brennan of Jackson, NJ and brother Robert J. Ellard of Middletown, NJ. He is predeceased by his wife Mary C. Ellard and his parents Harry A. Ellard Jr. & Mary Ellard. Services and burial will be private.
