Kathleen J. Tappan

Our beloved Kathleen Jeannette Poole Tappan, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday the 2nd of September, 2019 after a brief illness at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. She was born December 18th, 1946 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Mr. Jesse D. Poole and Mrs. Gloria Poole. She was a 1964 graduate of Bradwell Institute of Hinesville, Georgia. Kathy was strong, stubborn and tenacious and even through her retirement she never wanted to slow down, she was always hardworking and kindhearted. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like chatting with her friends and family, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and daughter. Kathy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Surviving are her daughter Tanya Silva (Cisco) of Punta Gorda, her sister Deniece (Marshall Kennemer) of Hinesville, GA, four grandchildren, David, Deanna, and Darian Silva, and Cody Foran of Venice Florida; nephews Tony Poole of Marietta, GA and Steve Hernandez of Dallas Texas; nieces April Bowen of Millbrook, AL, Angelia G. Kerkhoff of Lawton, OK and Alexis G. Clark of Hinesville, GA. She was preceded in death by her daughter Inga Tappan - Foran, her father, Jesse D. Poole, mother, Gloria Poole; sisters, Carolyn Hernandez and Jeannie Clark, and her forever fur friend, Pepper.
