Mr. Jean Pierre Pomerleau

Jean Pierre Pomerleau, a U.S. Postal worker and self-employed carpenter, passed away on April 11, 2019, at the age of 57 at his home in North Port, Florida, surrounded by family and friends. Known by his friends as Jean or JP. He was born in St. Georges, Canada, and grew up in New England. After graduating high school, Jean proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He and Cymon met in St. Maarten in 1991, and were married in 1996, to begin their life's journey together. In 2000, Jean and Cymon welcomed twin daughters Yaz and Paz to the world. Together, they began another wonderful and exciting phase of their journey as a loving and inseparable family. Jean was a resourceful, hard worker but always found the time to provide his family with exciting adventures and memories that they will cherish forever. Jean enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, near and far, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Jean-Pierre is survived by his wife Cymon Copley-Pomerleau; twin daughters Yasmeen and Pascale; twin step-daughters Rebekah and Sarah and grandson Kai; parents Emilio and Bernadette Pomerleau; mother-in-law Barbara Johnson; sisters Esther Pomerleau (Bruce Raymond) and Elaine McPherson (Christopher); sisters-in-law Dian Copley, Sonja Harris, Sharon Sayles, Alicia Wright; brothers-in-law Ricardo Walters (Tameika) and Winston Bateman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held on May 4, 2019, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Farley Funeral Home 5900 S. Biscayne Dr. North Port FL 34287, with a Reception/Repast 6-8:30, Morgan Community Family Center, 6207 W Price Blvd, North Port, FL 34291 All are welcome to celebrate Jean's life. Jean's family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers.
