Robert H. Wright

Dr. Robert Wright, age 77, of Macon, GA passed away unexpectedly of sudden cardiac death on the night of January 19, 2019 in Sarasota FL. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am. on the morning of Saturday, January 26, 2019 in St. Peter Claver Church located at 133 Ward St, Macon, GA 31204 with the Father William McIntyre officiating. Internment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at a future date. Dr. Robert Wright was born in Providence, RI to Robert G. and Rita H. Wright on December 25th 1941. He married Anne McBrearty in Macon, Ga on June 24, 1967. He graduated from John Carroll University with a BA in English. He went on to get his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Wright practiced Oral Surgery in Macon, GA for 43 years. Dr. Wright was deeply involved in his local community and the Catholic Church. He authored the 100th Year History of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Dr. Wright was involved with numerous community charities starting with Project Smile in the1970's and continuing with medical mission trips to Honduras. He was a regular volunteer at the Resurrection House in Sarasota, FL. Dr. Wright was a man of quiet faith and humble works. He was deeply devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. Dr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents Robert G. Wright, Rita H. Wright and his brother Father John J. Wright. Dr. Wright is survived by his loving wife Anne McBrearty Wright, their children, Robert (Kelly), Kathy and Michael (Bridget) Wright, his siblings Martha, Priscilla, Richard, and Deborah, and six grandchildren Devon, Robert, Anne Marie, Maci, Daniel, and Allen.
