Robert ""Bob"" E. Baumann, 89, a resident of Venice, FL, passed away January 12, 2019. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter and Marion Baumann. Bob was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Sergeant and an Expert Marksman. He worked as a Manager for Acme Supermarkets for 40 years. Bob was a long-time resident of Maywood. He was an active parishioner of Queen of Peace Church in Maywood, NJ and was also an active member of the American Legion in Maywood. Surviving is his wife Jean; daughters, Donna (Peter) Roberts, Mary Jane (Eugene) Bruno, and Lorraine (Ron) Dario; son, Dr. Robert (Julie) Baumann; grandchildren, Robert (Taylor), Nicole, Thomas, Alyssa, Justin, Roman, Aidan Robert and Jackson. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Eleanor. Interment will take place 1pm Friday, February 22, 2019 in Sarasota National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Semper Fi Fund or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
