Erma Joy Prill
January 22nd, 1932 - December 3rd, 2018
Erma Joy Prill, age 86, of North Port, Florida, passed away on December 3, 2018 at Bay Breeze Rehabilitation Center in Venice. She was born on January 22, 1932 in Dayton, Washington to George and Etta Owens. Erma lived in Aurora, Illinois from 1962 to 2006 then moved to LaGrange, Indiana prior to moving to North Port in 2011. She was a member of New Hope Community Church in North Port. Erma is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Fred; a daughter, Kara (Joseph) Gaffino of Aurora, IL; two granddaughters, Lauren Gaffino of Rochester, MN and Mollie Gaffino of Aurora, IL; a sister-in-law, Helen Prill of Wolcotteville, IN; three nieces, Michelle Chrisman of LaGrange, IN, Kay Heller of Wolcotteville, IN, Page Gehrke of Suquamish, WA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Erma was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanne and son-in-law, Mark Vocelka who both passed away in 2012; her parents, George and Etta Owens, her siblings, Lela, Bob and Patsy and her husband, Lloyd; a brother-in-law, Michael Prill and two nephews, Vance Gehrke and Craig Prill. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at New Hope Community Church in North Port. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
