Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Patricia Fortney
January 13th, 1930 - August 17th, 2018
On Friday, August 17, 2018, the angel came to the Hospice House in Englewood, Florida to take Patricia Ann Fortney home. She would not want anyone to be sad about her passing. She lived a good, long life but will be missed more than these words can express! She always said she wanted a fun funeral so in the spirit of her wishes, I'm sure she would ïnd the following tribute funny and hopefully it will make you laugh. Patricia Fortney, previously of Youngstown, Ohio and Ballston Spa, New York, would like to let you know that her work here in Venice, Florida is done. She received a call, actually more like an oïer that you can't refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, and a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her mom Grace (Thompson) and Dad Bob Keasey were waiting with open arms to welcome her . Her brothers Bob Keasey, Jack Keasey and Eddie Keasey were busy planning the party for her arrival. Although her brothers have been using her Studebaker, they have it gassed up and waiting to take her on her new mission where she will be going out with friends for breakfast every morning, eating ice cream every evening, shopping for bargains, doing ceramics, watching hallmark movies, law and order reruns and reading the newspaper. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Although she can not return from this new venture, she promises to watch over her granddaughter Kelly Collins every day and enjoy her vocal and theater performances from her new home. She left detailed instructions for her son in law Tom Collins to help her daughter Karen wrap up the loose ends from her mission here. Her speciïcations include cremation at Farley Funeral Home and future interment at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio. Low adherence to these instruction will not be tolerated and have been completed within her speciïed time frame. Rest in peace Pat. We will love you always and will miss you forever!
