July 23rd, 1928 - February 4th, 2018
Audrey was a long-time resident of Venice, moving from Pompton Lakes, N.J. in 1954. She was a 1946 graduate of Ridgewood High, Ridgewood, N.J. She was a very religious person attending The Journey in Orange City, Fl. She was the former owner of the Myakka Bowling Lanes/Circus Lounge. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert B. Matthews, General Contractor. Audrey is survived by her two children, her son R. Brooks Matthews and his wife Laura, of Orange City, Fl., her daughter Sharon L Babington and her longtime companion, James C. Kelly of Venice, Fl., Four grandchildren, Jacqui M. Bliss and her husband, Ryan of Nokomis, Fl., Cindy A. Babington and her husband, A.J. Harber of Plant City, Fl., Sydney Matthews, Orange City, Fl., Austin Brooks Matthews, Orange City, Fl., and two great-grandchildren M. Ryan Bliss, Nokomis, Fl, and Erin Bliss, Nokomis, Fl. She is also survived by her nephews living in New Jersey, Delaware, and Florida. She went to live with the Lord on Feb. 4, 2018. She was 89. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter.
