William Lee ""Bill"" Puyear passed away October 18, 2017, aged 72 years, at his home in Venice with his long-time companion, Susan, by his side. Bill was a local business owner and a highly respected member of the local community for several decades. Many will remember Bill as a great locksmith, always ready to help others, solving puzzles, driving his Corvette, or socializing with his many loyal friends that he thoroughly enjoyed. Bill was born in St. Louis, MO June 3, 1945 and was previously a resident of Missouri and Minnesota prior to relocating to Venice in the early 80s. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Henry Martin Puyear and Mary Bremer Moran. He is survived by his son Adam William Puyear, his daughter Andrea Desiree Puyear, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In accordance with Bill's wishes there will not be a local ceremony. Bill’s cremated remains will be interred near the grave of his father in Columbia, MO. A memorial plaque will be placed in Venice Memorial Gardens at 1950 Center Road. In lieu of flowers the family would welcome donations to either of the following: Cancer Research Institute, 55 Broadway, Suite 1802, New York, NY 10006, (800) 992-2623 cancerresearch.org or Navy SEAL Foundation, 1619 D Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23459, (757) 363-7490 ext. 203 navysealfoundation.org
