Charles Frederick "Charlie" Hayback III

Charles Frederick Hayback III, age 76, of Venice, FL passed away on September 24, 2017. He was born to Charles, Jr. and Gladys Hayback on November 28, 1940 in New Haven, CT. Charlie came to the Venice area from West Haven, CT in 1995. He was an engineer for the Southern New England Telephone Company and a pioneer in the field of fiberoptics. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith. Charlie recently had to give up his Block Island vacation home. It was a location that he adored with a passion. He was an avid baseball fan and a member of the Moose Lodge. Charlie will always be remembered as a dedicated and loyal man. He is survived by his sons, Jack Hayback and wife Ruthie and Charles Hayback IV and wife Coleen; and his companion Joyce Clougherty. Charlie was predeceased by his wife, Wanda. Services will be private.
