Agnes Dahlem
April 10th, 1923 - April 13th, 2017
Agnes Elizabeth Dahlem, formerly Agnes King Yarmoluk, 94, of North Port FL, departed this earth on April 13, 2017. Born on April 10, 1923 in Horning (Allegheny County) PA, Agnes was also a former resident of the Bronx, Poughkeepsie, and Rhinebeck (Dutchess County), NY. Agnes worked in food service for the Poughkeepsie School District for 16 years, and was employed by Vassar Brothers Hospital for one year in social services before moving to Rhinebeck, NY. She moved with her second husband, John Gerard Dahlem, to North Port, FL in 1987. Interests included reading, writing, cooking, needle-point, crocheting, and family. At the time of her death, Agnes was residing at Quality Health Care Center in North Port, FL. Survivors include a son, Paul Yarmoluk of Westminster, MA, a daughter, Theresa Yarmoluk of Clinton, ME, nine grandchildren, Kristin Palojarvi of Westminster, MA, Allister Tshudy of Westminster, MA, Rebecca Yarmoluk of Atlanta, GA, Amy Hilton of Carrollton, GA, Kimberly Yarmoluk of Clover, SC, Dorothy Yarmoluk of Douglasville, GA, Sarah Sartorini of Bangall, NY, David W. Yarmoluk of Brooksville, FL, and Andrew Snyder of Pittsburgh, PA, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Hilda Nix and George King, 12 siblings, a daughter-in-law, Judy Yarmoluk, a son, David James Yarmoluk, and her husband, John Gerard Dahlem. Agnes will be missed and remembered by many with love. Devoted to her family in life, she wished for them to remember her with humor. She had requested that any memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Private services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Clove Valley Cemetery in Union Vale, NY, at the convenience of the family.
