Peter Donald Badalamenti of Venice, Florida, passed away on March 15, 2017. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 23, 1935. Peter retired as a sheriff with the Cook County Sheriff’s Department in Chicago. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his three sons; Bob Badalementi, Peter D. Badalamenti, II, Michael J. Badalamenti and a granddaughter, Ava J. Badalamenti. Peter was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Madison, who passed away on March 19, 2016. He had a heart of gold and will be missed very much. ""He was the best grandpa ever and he was sweet as God and he loved me and my sis, Madison, so much. Have a fun time in Heaven."" A visitation for Peter will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 3:00PM-5:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
