Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Matthew William "Rodi" Rodefer
September 1st, 1981 - September 7th, 2016
Matthew “Rodi” Rodefer has left this Earth and joined our heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. He was 35 years old. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Matthew loved baseball, surfing, fishing, and his friends and family, and he was loved back by so many: childhood best friend David Knowles, David Philips, Chris Brewer, Hunter Santo, Chris Jennings, Mike Dey, Jason Light, David Le Blanc, Andrew Tallon, Uncle David Smith, and his sponsor Bob White. People he considered family, not by blood but in all of the ways that matter: Scott Marra and his family, Steve Price, Reed Middleton, and J.R. Caldwell. He had loving family members in Indiana and Kentucky. The relationship between him and his sister, Emily, was unconditionally close. He treasured his niece, Henley, and brother in-law, Josh. His mom and dad, Norma and Bill, cherished the time they had with him, and their enduring love is obvious to all that know them. He inspired others with his spiritual wisdom and was a member of the Bridge Church. The family would like to send a thank you to the Bridge family for their continued support and prayers, and especially to Pastors Matt Day, Steve Cleckner, John Rector, and Steve Price. Everyone at the Sally held a special place in his heart, including the wonderful Dr. David Sutton and Lisi Brannen. “You fought the battle; now we hold up our hands and give you to God. He holds you in His arms.” ""Be still and know that I am God."" Psalm 46:10 Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Saturday, September 17th from 1-3 PM with a service at 3.
