ANNETTE MARIE PETTIT, 53, of North Port, Florida was born on June 24, 1963 in Kansas City, MO. and passed away in her sleep on August 6, 2016. As a young teenager she was very proud to have been selected to represent the Kansas City Chiefs Football Organization as a Chiefette cheerleader. Later, as a resident of the San Francisco Bay area she became a successful business woman in the entertainment industry. Upon returning to the Kansas City area she enjoyed many years of success in the field of restaurant management. In March 1999, she moved to Florida with her future husband Michael Allen Pettit, 52, of Oskaloosa, IA and enjoyed 17 happy years in the North Port community. She loved music, art, animals and the scenic Florida beaches. Annette is survived by her mother Grace Elizabeth Guastello of Kansas City, MO and 3 siblings: Debbie Cox, Cindy Lea Lalicker (Terry Lee Lalicker) of Lee's Summit, MO, Marcia Ann Hughes (Wesley Dale Hughes) of Lakewood, CO 5 nieces, 3 nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is a beautiful fun loving person who brought joy to everyone that she met and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank Moffitt Cancer Center for their professional persistent staff and outstanding care. There will be no services and in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Annette's favorite charity: Suncoast Humane Society in her name.
