Charlotte A. Casgrain of Venice, Florida passed away July 29, 2016. She was born in Washington, D.C. April 24, 1940 to Ardoin and Mildred Casgrain. Charlotte graduated from Georgetown Visitation Convent and Brown University. She received a masters degree from University of Bridgeport. She taught French in the Greenwich Public Schools for 35 years, and engaged in many related educational projects. Since 1955 Charlotte’s summers were spent on Deer Isle, Maine. She was first associated with the French camp Les Chalets Francais from camper to Assistant Director. Later she turned her Stonington home Pres du Port into a B&B, which she ran for 25 years. Charlotte is survived by her sister Louise Noyes-Balboni of Venice, Florida and Kingston, Massachusetts, and by her loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 4 at Epiphany Cathedral, where Charlotte sang in the choir for many years. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
