Neil Allen Waltenburg, age 73, of Venice, FL, passed away on July 5, 2016. He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on January 25, 1943, and came to Venice in January 2000. Neil was a graduate of the General Electric Apprentice School and retired from General Electric as a Production Control Specialist after 25 years with the company. He was an avid reader. Surviving family members include his sons, Eric of W. Lafayette, IN and Philip of Cape Coral, FL; and long time companion Joan Wilder of Venice and her children Tina, Mark, and Stanley. Neil was preceded in death by his brother James. Visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Monday, July 11th from 2 - 4 pm. A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice on Tuesday, July 12th at 11 am.
