Ross Matthew Branca died at his home in Englewood, Florida on June 16, 2016. He was 76 years old. Ross married Juanita (Jenny) in Brooklyn, New York on June 4, 1983. In addition to his wife, Ross is survived by their children, son, Ross Jr. and his wife Bridget, sons Michael and Raymond, and daughter, Jennifer. He is also survived by grandchildren, Vanessa, Victoria, and Viviana. His greatest love was his family. Ross was born on October 19, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY to Salvatore and Josephine Brancaleone. Ross was a devoted husband and loving father. In 1958, Ross joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. In 1970, Ross received his Bachelor of Business Administration at Bernard M. Baruch College. And, in 1974, Ross received his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1975. Later, Ross served as President for both the Brooklyn Bar Association and Catholic Lawyers Guild. He was also a member of the American Bar Association, Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn, Bayridge Lawyers Association, and the National Italian-American Bar Association. A viewing of the body will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
