Cicely Vivienne Allen
July 7th, 1943 - April 1st, 2016
Cicely Vivienne Allen, age 72, of Nokomis, Florida, died April 1, 2016 at ManorCare in Venice, where she had lived for the past four years. ""Vivienne"" Allen, daughter of John and Doris Jones was born July 7, 1943 in Gosport, UK. She moved to Florida in 1995, but remained a British citizen. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Allen, who lives in Nokomis. She is also survived by her brother, Phillip Jones and her two children, John Marker and Diane Tucker all of whom who live in England. Vivienne used to work in the golf shop she and Sam owned when they lived on Anna Maria Island and she also worked in a nursing home until a foot injury forced her to retire. After they moved to Nokomis in 1997, she loved to sit outside and watch the birds feeding in the pond next door to their house. Her husband Sam was with her when she died and he will miss her forever. Donations may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087. Per Cicely's wish there will be no services. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
