Thomas ""Tom"" F. Staral, 87, of Nokomis, FL passed away March 13, 2016. Tom was born February 18, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Bridget (Murphy) and Thomas R. Staral. He was a US Navy Veteran having served in World War II and Korea. Tom was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his son, Tom. Survivors include his wife Natalie; three children: Lynn Donnan, Dawn Alvord, Joanne Beck; step-daughter, Heather Guthrie; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2-3 PM with a Memorial Service immediately following at 3 PM, Thursday, March 24 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 PM, Friday, March 25 at Sarasota National Cemetery. Memorial Donation may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3277-A Fruitville Road, Sarasota, FL 34237.
