Marian T. Vorp, age 77, of Venice, FL, formerly of Ashville, NY, passed away February 6, 2016after a valiant battle with an incurable illness. She was born on December 1, 1938 in Bradford, PA to Raymond and Genevieve Dwyer. Marian is survived by her husband, Robert F. Vorp of Venice, FL, formerly of Ashville, NY; a daughter, Ann Marie Holleran of Texas; a son, John Thomas Holleran of Tennessee; a sister, Mary Ellen Dwyer, SSJ, of Erie, PA; two step daughters, Robyn Citrin and husband Chuck Citrin, and Heidi Coxson and her husband Charlie Coxson III; step son Brad Vorp and his wife, Laurie Vorp. She is also survived by many loving cousins, family members and wonderful caring friends. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband G. Thomas Holleran of Ashville, NY, formerly of Bradford, PA; a sister, Sally Dwyer of Bradford, PA and a brother, James R. Dwyer of Orchard Park, NY. Marian enjoyed playing mahjong, socializing with her friends, the Gulf of Mexico, floating in the pool and doing for others. She had previously volunteered at VeniceHospital and served as a Home Bound Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter and Paul in Jamestown, NY. She graduated from St. Bernard's High School in 1956, worked at IBM, United Refinery and the Teamster's Union until she retired. Donations are to be made per her wishes to Tidewell Hospice, Venice. FL and to Our Lady of Lourdes Prayer Blanket Ministry in Venice, FL. A celebration of life will be with family at a later date. ""Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.""
