Edward J. Burke, 72, of Nokomis, FL passed away unexpectedly January 3, 2016. Ed was born March 2, 1943 in Englewood, NJ to Helen (Hartley) and August Burke. Avid golfer, rabid New York Giant's Fan, retired regional president Chase Manhattan Bank of Western New York, B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Carole; daughters: Deborah (Jim) Sawicki of Long Island, NY and Diane (Jeff) Frohlich of Northvale, NJ; grandchildren: Joseph and Matthew Sawicki & Zachary and Theresa Frohlich; brother Robert (Cathi) Burke. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7 PM, Saturday, January 9 at Calusa Lakes Golf Club. Memorial Donations may be made to Salvation Army, P.O. Box 69, Venice, FL 34284-0069 or the Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department, 111 Pavonia Road, Nokomis, FL 34275.
