Franklin Perard Clement
May 16th, 1926 - December 16th, 2015
Franklin Perard Clement of Englewood, FL, and West Hartford, CT, died at home following a stroke on December 16, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Mary C. (Rebholz) for 65 years. He leaves his daughters Alison (Craig) Wellman of Glastonbury, CT, Dorian Clement (Michael) Kaminski of Stonington, CT, and Merle Michael of Vancouver, Canada. He was a ""Clempa"" to Sara (Steven) Harnois, Robert Waterman, Meredith Waterman, Ben Michael, and Tim Michael, and his great grandchildren Natalie and Tyler. He is also survived by his niece Cynthia Clement Haas of Naples, FL and many other beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Mabelle and Victor Clement, and his brother Jonathan Clement. He was a graduate of the State University of New York Maritime College. Upon relocating from New York to Connecticut in 1960, he was the founder and president of Precision International Corp in Bloomfield, CT until his retirement in 2001. Affectionately known as Clem, he was an avid sailor and tennis player, and in later life, a world class bocce player. His mischievous nature and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 23rd at 2PM at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1115 Center Road, Venice, FL34292. Memorial contributions may be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd or TideWell Hospice Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL34238.
