Kathleen ""Kathy"" H. Katz, 70, of Venice, FL passed away November 27, 2015. Kathy was born December 16, 1944 in New Haven, CT to Agnes (Koenig) and William C. Hackett. Kathy was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years bringing much joy to her patients. Kathy was also a volunteer for the Guardian Ad Lidem program. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen McManus in 2014 and her brother James Hackett. Survivors include her son, Timothy McManus; two grandchildren: Casey and Courtney McManus; two sisters: Charlene Hackett and Maureen Bombace; two brothers: William Hackett and Thomas Hackett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 12 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Memorial Donations may be made to American Lung Association, 8950 Dr. ML King Jr Street North, Ste 205, St. Petersburg, FL 33702.
