Andrew Lee "Andy" Wecker
November 27th, 1997 - September 14th, 2015
Andrew (Andy) Lee Wecker, age 17 passed away on September 14, 2015 after a life-long liver condition. He was a Venice High School senior, President of the Diversity Club, previously a member of Boy/Cub Scout Troop Pack 311, and a former Kiwanis Kid. He enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with the many friends he made everywhere he went and as a volunteer at various cat shelters. He loved the outdoors, video gaming, music, movies, drama and seafood. He is survived by his parents: Denise Skivers of Bradenton and Ron Wecker of Venice; his brother Aaron Wecker of Bradenton, who said “he was the best brother I could have had and I will always love and miss him”; his maternal grandmother, Jane Skivers of Cornish, Maine; his paternal grandparents, Shirley and William Wecker of North Port, Florida; great aunts in Michigan and Maine; aunts, uncles and cousins in Florida, Maine, Michigan and California. Services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Lutheran Church, 2401 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, Florida. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
