Edward F. Forker, age 76, of North Port, died on July 28, 2015. He was born in New York City on March, 16, 1939. He came from Rockland County New York to Sarasota, then to North Port in 1999. Ed was a New York City firefighter and former Marine. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Ed is survived by his wife, Suzanne; daughters Jacqueline, Denise, Theresa, Kristyn, Kaitlyn, Kerry, and Karissa; step-children Amy and Randall; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, North Port, on Sunday, August 2nd from 2 - 5 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 3rd at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans Charity.
