Doris Quinn Smith, age 87, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on July 24, 2015. She was born on October 23, 1927 in Lavelle, Pennsylvania. She moved to Sarasota in 1980 from Milton, Delaware. Doris was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Nokomis. She is survived by her brother William Fleetman of Pottstown Pennsylvania, and children, Susan Ettinger of Dover, Delaware, Cheryl Ayers of Laurel, Maryland, Gary Thomas of Wilmington, Delaware and Franklin L. Thomas, Jr. of Exmore, Virginia. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238 or to Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 2600 N. Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, Florida 34275. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
