He married ""Babe"" and they built their home in Prospect Harbor where he worked for the family business, Stinson Canning Co., ""peddling fish"". Mom and Dad retired to Venice, Florida and Camden, Maine. Dad approached life with organized determination, living it to the fullest. Up until two months ago he was playing 18 holes of golf three times a week, riding his motorcycle every Sunday, and building chairs in his shop for his great grandchildren. Besides being with his family, his greatest joy in life came from time spent with his fishing, skiing, motorcycle and golfing buddies. He built a ski camp for his family near Big Squaw Mountain, Greenville, Maine in the 1960's and he took many a ski trip ""out west"" and in Europe with his friends; he was able to ski into his 70's. He was an avid motorcyclist and rode with his ""gang"" on excursions throughout the country. He loved to fish and used his camp on Moosehead Lake in Rockwood as the base for trips into the woods. Many a nice trout, hand of cribbage and glass of bourbon were had with his buddies and son, Jay, during these times and when Dad and Jay were not fishing they were strategizing about the next secret fishing spot. He was passionate about golf and played regularly with his group at his home course at Waterford in Venice and with his family in Maine. Dad told everyone that he had the best family ever and that is because he was the best and he will remain alive in our hearts. A spring service in Maine will be announced at a later date.
