November 28th, 1933 - March 18th, 2015
Ellen M Kenney a resident of Venice passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19 after a long battle with dementia; she was 81 years of age. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, a most elegant and gracious woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ellen was a devote catholic and dedicated much of her time to the church. She worked for many years at the Diocese of Venice and was a Eucharistic Minister. Preceded in death by her husband Francis, Ellen is survived by their children John Kenney, Michael Kenney, Terry Kenney, Neil Kenney, Kathleen Strayer and James Kenney, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Wednesday, March 25 from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass to celebrate Ellen’s life will be at Epiphany Cathedral Catholic Church on Thursday, March 26 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
