Iris G. ""Montine"" Montgomery, 75, of Venice passed away January 19, 2015. Montine was born in Cleveland, GA on August 13, 1939 to Grover and Callie (Stancil) Grant. A nearly lifelong resident of Sarasota County, Maw Maw, as her family and friends called her, lived for her children and grandchildren. Her passion was taking care of her flowers and cooking for her family, and her life revolved around being a housewife, a caregiver, and a mom, and a grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Montine is survived by her precious children Cliff ""Bubba"" Wallace and his wife Lisa of Venice, Terri ""Missy"" Bailey and her husband James of Venice, and Callie Wallace of Venice, granddaughters Jessica, Mandy, Ashley, Kristen, and Niki, 4 great grandsons, and brother Denton Grant of North Port. Visitation will be from 11:30 until 1:30pm on Friday, January 23rd, followed by a graveside funeral service at 2:00pm at Venice Memorial Gardens.
