January 9th, 1935 - January 10th, 2015
Thomas E. McIntyre, 79, of Venice, Fla. passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015. Tom was born Nov. 9, 1935 in Detroit, Mi. to Robert and Hazel (Edens) McIntyre. Tom was a veteran of the 101st Airborne, 82nd Division. His career was Multi-Line Insurance in Michigan. He retired in 1999 to Venice, Fla. with his beloved wife, Katherine (Henson) McIntyre. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; his daughter Debra (John) Jackson of Fenton, Mi.; his son Bradley (Catherine) McIntyre of Marysville, Wa.; granddaughters Stephanie Jackson of Rochester, Mi. and Michelle Jackson of Lake Orion, Mi.; step-grandson James Sebenoler of Seattle, Wa.; brother David (Lois) McIntyre of Englewood, Fla.; brother-in-law Norman Henson of Venice, Fla.; and many dear nephews and nieces. Visitation will be 10-12 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19th at Desmond Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy; services from 12 p.m. to 12:45; burial to follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Mi. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Colonial Baptist Church, 2400 Taylor Ranch Trail, Venice, Fla. 32493. Farley Funeral Home in Venice handled the arrangements locally.
