Carole A. Prang, 73, of Port Charlotte, passed away Sunday, Jan 4, 2015. Carole was born in Birmingham, AL in 1941, the daughter of Felix and Laura Nabors. Carole moved to Michigan where she met her husband Philip and raised a family. In 1997, Phil and Carole retired to Port Charlotte. Carole was an active member of her church, Trinity United Methodist, in North Port. She enjoyed participating in the choir, TOPS, Sunday School, and many other church activities. Carole is survived by her children, Dorothy (Rick) Marino, Margaret (Mike) Bielec, and Patricia (Kyle) Krukar; grandchildren Robin Mudge, Katie Jones, and Christopher Lintz; great-granddaughter Grace Jones; loved ones Penny (Steve) Cusic; and beloved dogs, Olie and Pooh. Carole was preceded in death by her husband Philip, and parents, Felix and Laura Nabors. A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home in North Port on Saturday, Jan 10, 2015 from 2-4pm with a service to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Cancer Research Institute (www.cancerresearch.org).
