George W. Wabrek, Jr., age 70, of Venice, Florida and former resident of Prospect, Connecticut, passed away on January 1, 2015. He was born on May 17, 1944 in Winsted, Connecticut. George was with The Hartford Life Insurance Company for 35 years and retired in 1992 as a premium auditor. George was an avid NASCAR and UCONN Women's Basketball fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Susan; a sister, Patricia Lewin of New Hartford, Connecticut and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Helen Wabrek, Sr. Services will be held at a later date in Connecticut. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
