Daisy May Hahn

Daisy May Hahn, 83, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on November 24, 2014. Daisy was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 23, 1931 and has been living in Venice, Florida since 1997. She was daughter of the late George and Mabel Stonerock. She is preceded in death by her brother George William Stonerock. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Leonard E. Hahn Jr., her son, Donald L. Hahn, her daughter, Carole J. Salsberry, her grandson Forrest L. Salsberry Jr., her two granddaughters, Shelby Dawn and Ashley Renee, and five great grandchildren. Daisy graduated from Northeast High School where she met her husband and was married in 1950. While living in Kansas City, she worked at First National Bank. Then after living in Independence, she worked for Floyd R. Brown & Co. CPA. Finally after retiring, they moved to Florida. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband. Daisy and Leonard continued having fun together being active in Bay Indies while enjoying being on a bowling team, playing cards in the bridge club, and traveling with a square dancing club just to mention a few favorite activities. She was the President of the Women’s Club of Venice, as well as helping run the Garden Club of Bay Indies for six years with the President Leonard Hahn. Daisy will never be forgotten as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and a special friend to so many people! Daisy will always be remembered for her tender heart and many ways of showing kindness to everyone she met! A celebration of life service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:30pm on Monday, December 8, 2014. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel.
