November 29th, 1937 - October 18th, 2014
Donald E. Jessup, 76, of Nokomis, FL, formerly of New York passed away October 18, 2014 after a long illness. Mr. Jessup served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion both in Venice and Rockville Center, NY. Donald is survived by his loving wife Kathleen, children JoAnn Macchia and her husband Michael of Holbrook, NY, Donald, Jr., of Tulsa, OK, and Christopher of Holbrook, NY, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sister-in-law Peg Stephens and her husband Ken of NY and James Travers also of NY. His family will be forever grateful for all of the loving support they have received from their Florida family, especially Mary Ellen and Mike Keane. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00pm and from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Thursday, Oct. 23rd at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota. Inurnment will follow the Mass in Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238. To send condolences, please visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.
