After a long fight with Leukemia, Louis C. Rall Jr. is at peace. Lou lived a wonderful life that started in Brooklyn New York. Lou went to war in February 1945 by joining the Navy as an Electronics Mate Third Class (CB) and he traveled the Pacific. He received the Victory, American Theatre and Asiatic Pacific Medals. Upon returning to New York after the war, he married the love of his life, Eva Marie Davies. They started a family on Long Island, New York. Lou worked for Fairchild Republic for thirty years from technical writer to Director of Integrated Logistics Support and he especially loved working on the A-10 Thunder Bolt ""Warthog"". He was schooled at Pierson Electronics, Pennsylvania - Wharton School of Finance and University of Santa Clara School of Law. Lou retired in 1985 and moved to Florida with Eva where they lived in Englewood, Florida for many years and in 2009 moved to Venice, Florida. Lou is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eva M. Rall; son Louis (Kathy) of Head of the Harbor, New York; son Richard (Betty) of Venice, Florida; son Robert (Robin) of Cambria, California; daughter Suzanne (Joseph) of Bay Shore, New York; grandchildren Justin, Marin (Cullen), Patience (Anthony), Tyson (Kaila) and Jacqueline; Great grandchildren Stella, Kendahl, and Juliana and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving sister Beatrice McGlone. Visitation is scheduled for 2-4, 7-9 at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Tuesday, September 30th and Wednesday, October 1st. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Epiphany Cathedral on Thursday, October 2nd at 9:45 AM. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery.
