Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
William "Jason" Flowers
May 4th, 1972 - August 10th, 2014
William Jason Flowers, age 42, was granted his angel wings after a brave battle with cancer on August 10, 2014. He grew up in Englewood, FL and graduated from Lemon Bay High School. Jason proudly served in the U.S. Army for 8 years as a Communications Specialist. He worked for Century Link as a central office tech for 10 years. Jason was one of the most caring men we knew. He had a heart of gold and would put others in front of himself. His smile would light up any room he was in. He enjoyed volunteering in his free time for several years with the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. He loved spending quality time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, anything outdoors, but first and foremost his wife and son. Jason was the most amazing husband and daddy anyone could ask for. Jason is survived by his wife Christie and his son Zachary, both of Venice, FL; mother and stepfather Bill and Jacqueline Flowers Ring of Venice, FL; father-in-law Bob Martin of Venice, FL; brother-in-laws David (Shari) Dodd of Sarasota, FL and Bob Martin (Erika) of Venice, FL; and sister-in-law Susan Dodd of Venice, FL. Jason was preceded in death by his father, William ""Bud"" Flowers. There will be a visitation on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 1-2PM at Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel with services to follow at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to an Educational Fund for his son.
