Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Birtley Q. "Birt" Locke
October 16th, 1936 - April 10th, 2014
Birtley ""Birt"" Locke passed away in Florida on April 10, 2014. He was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts, the son of Eunice and Quentin Locke. Birt served in the Army and Air Force during the Korean conflict, and then married the love of his life Virginia (Russell) Locke. He was a Mason and a member of the Chester Lions Club and Englewood Elks. A life-long entrepreneur, Birt started numerous businesses. He loved antique cars, wooden and sail boats, food, and rowdy card games (that he won). Birt's passion for the water left him splitting his time between Florida and Maine. His big personality left an impression on all he met, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his wife Ginger, children and their spouses Kim (Vince) Rolletta, Kathy (Tim) Berger, Deb (Ed) Andersson, and Butch (Michelle) Locke, sister Elizabeth (Pat) Ryan, and beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in Birt's memory to The Wounded Warrior Project. To send condolences, please visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com. Cemetery Information Inurnment will take place at a later date.
