Jerry A. Ouellette, 80, of Venice, Florida, beloved husband of Pat Ouellette passed suddenly into the arms of Jesus on April 5, 2014. He is survived by his son Mark Ouellette of Lynden, WA, daughters Denise (Bob) Greening of Canton, MI and Laurie Phillips of Pasadena, CA, stepsons Jeff (Erin) Ice of Holt, MI and Mark (Crystal) Ice of Las Vegas, NV. He will also be deeply missed by his 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as other family members and many great friends. He was predeceased by sons Paul and John Ouellette. Jerry retired from a successful career in manufacturing with the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI. He is a member or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Saint Vincent DePaul Society, and was active in several branches of church and charitable organizations. His family, showing their love for this quiet, gentle, and generous man, surrounded him with their presence on March 21st for his surprise 80th birthday party. Jerry was both a devoted husband to Pat and father to his children. He had a passion for golf and a love of nature, especially sunsets and water which brought him peace, joy, and contentment. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Monday, April 14th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Center Road in Venice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Society or to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
