Robert ""Bob"" Barber, 85, of Canton, OH and Venice, FL died suddenly on Thursday, January 30th in Venice, FL. After graduating from Canton South High School, he served in the Army for two years. He worked at Harrison Paint Company in Canton for forty years. He attended Dueber United Methodist Church and Venice Church of the Nazarene. He was a talented athlete who enjoyed playing ping pong, baseball, softball, and fumble ball. As the pitcher in 1994, his team won the Senior Softball World Series in the 65 and over age bracket. He had a passion for cars and bicycles and enjoyed playing cards with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his oldest daughter Suzetta in 1973. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna; three children, Sharon (Ron) Wilson, Scott (Donna) Barber, Steve (Jami) Barber; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th from 1-2PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 2PM at Venice Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
